i have finals for math 175 on monday. at 8:15 PM!!!! and it doesn't end till after 10:00!! :(

christmas break fun times. oh boy!

So, i'm going to be doing a complete stampede conversion and repaint over this break. i'm going to be removing the air resistors, filling in the air release and padding the plunger. however, the highlight of this gun will be the 9K spring, the 16.8 volt battery pack, and the 100% airtight brass breech. according to others who have done the conversion before me, the gun will achieve ranges of over 100 feet flat. when it's pointed up at a 30 degree angle it can get over 130 foot range.

i will also be integrating a better fore grip. this fore grip will contain a 100 lumen flashlight capable of spreading light over 520 feet away. when i have the light off i can use an integrated laser pointer triggered by the safety. i'm using one of the two in one laser pointers that can be flash lights or lasers. because of this i can have the extra flash light when the fore grip light is on. (since i won't be able to see the laser.)

the gun will use three seperate battery packs. the first contains four AA unprotected lithium ion batteries for driving the motor. the second is a pair of standard AAs for the foregrip light. and the third is three AAA batteries for the laser.

this project will involve alot of epoxy, pvc and....bondo! oh boy! *sarcasm*

also, i'm going to experiment with a new painting style. i want to retain my hard lines and toy-like look, while increasing the bad-ass factor. some people paint the guns camo and give them "battle damage." i want mine to look like my previous guns and develop a new level of realism. all it needs is more depth. so, i have found my solution.

after i prime the gun, i will paint on a thin layer of aluminum. then i will proceed to paint the gun as per usual. once i'm finished i will take some steel wool and lightly wear down the paint in an even pattern. from a distance the gun will look like my others, but up close it will look well used, but not damaged or broken. i think i will need to use satin paints for this as gloss paint will look weird when scratched.

what do you think?

I will use this blog to post about whatever i want to, whenever i want to. I'm also not going to capitalize my sentences since this is just for fun. so, how about i start a flame war to start off. which pony is best pony? and who is better? tahu or kopaka?
